LE MANOIR AUX QUAT'SAISONS
Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons
Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons is a short drive from Oxford and provides easy access to the Cotswolds. Set in the Oxfordshire countryside, activities on offer include the renowned in house cookery course, a variety of outdoor pursuits and a tour of nearby Oxford.
No waiting around at check in desks here, service is slick and exactly how it should be done. And then there’s the room. Upgraded to the Citronelle junior suite, there were whoops of delight all round. Bright, spacious and individually designed, the attention to detail is superb. It’s difficult not to look around and smile at the hand made chocolates, tastefully wrapped gift on the bed, the fresh fruit platter and the decanter of Madeira wine. All of the amenities you would expect are present, including hairdryer, umbrella, complimentary wi-fi and water. Dinner is a sublime experience, let’s be honest they had me at the Champagne and canapés. Particular highlights included risotto of spring vegetables and roasted fillet of Aberdeen Angus beef. The wine pairings worked well and were skilfully explained, a surprise favourite being an Austrian white which accompanied the first course. Breakfast is also good with a wide selection of fruit, pastries and breads served in the light flooded conservatory. The pineapple brioche has to be tasted to be believed!
Think exquisite service and attentive staff. If you like a vibrant night club scene then this one isn’t for you. This is a peaceful country house hotel. A tour of the gardens is a must and one can only imagine how beautiful they would look in the summer. This is a stunning countryside property which deserves its world class reputation. The high quality of the food is well matched by exceptional hospitality in this luxury Oxfordshire haven. A more perfect place to spend a special celebration would be difficult to imagine. Loved it!
